Trade for the Perfect player in the world ---Hisound’s Studio 3rd Anniversary edition - Page 51

It's official, the Studio V can drive the Q701 with authority and the can even sounds good.

I suspect the standard Studio V will be better for crankers than the Anniversary 3 like we have. It drives anything but gain may not quite be enough for some under severe conditions. The standard v should be good all the time. Like you, the Anniversary 3 plays loud enough on 701s for mebigsmile_face.gif and absolutely has no problem with the load.

I find with DT1350s that plug keeps falling out of my Studio-V, hasn't happened with any previous headphone.

I'm having an issue with my Studio-V.

One of the navigation buttons (up) is not making a solid click when I press the button. Instead, it barely recedes and sometimes even gets stuck holding the button down. This means the volume will sporadically shoot up to MAX and requires me to quickly drop the volume and mash on the up button repeatedly to get it "unstuck." Anyone else have an issue like this before? Better yet, has anyone had to open this thing up before?

I have opened mine couple times. The stiff up button is because there is gas build up in the battery, and its pushing the pcb against the front of the case and holding the top button (since it's pretty much in the middle of the player) down. I'm waiting a new battery for mine, for the same reason.

I remember Lee got one that would get hot on charge which is what causes that. They may have received some marginal batteries from a supplier.

I assumed it was the battery as well, where did you buy the battery from?

It wasn't the battery getting hot lol. It was the board itself. I confirmed that by taking that Studio V apart and was shocked to find the battery cool to the touch. The board on the other hand felt like lava.... So I think somehow the battery wasn't taking the charge and instead the board was dissipating all that energy in the form of heat! Very dangerous and luckily I never left it unattended....

I doubt it could have caused a fire but a some parts would have eventually opened. It's actually nice to hear it was something different and not a repeat issue.smile.gif

When batteries behave as Treats it's because they are under voltage and overcharging.

I put a screen protector on the back of my Studio to prevent scratches, the front will be fine as long as you don't use it to hammer nails, break windows, break rocks, polish the floor with it, etc., etc....
