Since it is a balanced amp the LAu can put out more power than the LG from lower rail voltages. The LG is limited to about 5W while the LAu can do about 7W at 50R.

Gents, just FYI for anyone who has been interested, LL MKII deposits are now open on the CA website. LL MKII is only available in black front panel.

 

I should mention that LAu will also only be available in black.

Would you allow the LAu to be bought, but have case work sent out for powder coat, then sent back to you for assembly?

Well, no, I really can't do that. These are not custom builds in the sense that lots of DIY stuff is made. These are full production runs, sourced from various manufacturers and finishers in the volume determined for that run. To change out would add cost and possibly slow things down. However, the entire amp is powder coated except for the front which is anodized.

Really looking forward to hearing the new LL!

 

On the subject of color, Dr. Cavalli's commercial amps always come in black. The silver LG is something of an anomaly in that respect.

Actually, the first part of my statement is technically correct because the LG comes in black as well. So yes, every commercial amp from Dr. Cavalli comes in black. However I should have added a qualifier to the second part: "the LG is an anomaly in that it's the only amp not to only come in black."

So does it mean the silver LG is a special edition one of a kind?  I'm sure more Cavalli amps in the future will have options on the color.  But since Alex has a different source for case work who knows.
