I bought over 50 tubes between the time I ordered the LG and it arrived.  I've had mine since mid-December and I'm still buying tubes, but not at quite the same clip as before it arrived.  Listening to music through the LG does take away a little bit of the time available to purchase more tubes, but I'll always find something new worth checking out from time to time.

Nice! Very nice. Now all I've gotta do is decide to turn loose of the cash.

I like my LCD-3 with Siemens E288CC's and Psvane CV-181's.  They're a little too bright for the HE-6.  I no longer have my Q701, but I'd imagine it would do well with RCA or GE 6GU7's.  (I really liked the RCA 6GU7, but my pair died.  I don't really find that the GE is much different though).  I've paired the HE-6 more with the 6GU7's and Sylvania 12AU7's.  The Amperex Orange Globe 6DJ8's were pretty good too.

Yeah, the LG looks simply gorgeous in black. But then it looks gorgeous in silver too. One strikes me as more seductive, the other more stately.

@ dBel: Yeah, gotta watch out for those tube pushers. They give you just a taste of Sylvanias to get you hooked. ; )

I just noticed the 4-pin output connector. Is that an option, or did you install it yourself?

That's standard.

It's stock on the production units. Too many people requested it not to include it.

Thanks for the list.  Let us know if you find any other ones you like.  I might try the PSvane CV-181 next.  I got some Amperex JAN 7308 when I had my LG in December.  I remember liking them alot.

Awesome! Let us know how it goes. In particular, if you have a 1/8 -> 1/4" adapter for the ESW11LTD, I'd be curious to know how the amp does with sensitive headphones like those.

I do have an adapter.  But I need to find it atm.  lol.

I'll let you know back after I find that.
