They ain't carbon nanotube, though, are they? JVC seems to have the most senseless naming system for their headphones.

Lowepro (never heard of 'em) makes a 9cm x 13cm lens case which fits the S500 very well. It's made of "600d Polyester, 1680d Nylon, 420d Nylon" (whatever that means) with an inner protective liner of "210d Nylon". It doesn't have any real pockets for carrying a DAP or similar.

 

The model number is LP36303-0AM. It was in stock at a local BestBuy (at its list price, $21, of course.) Amazon has it for $14 but I couldn't wait.

Edit: The grey liner in the center image is some foam padding. It's about 1.5mm thick.

Going to be ordering these off Ebay. Will be using them while going to school and work. Also interested in the ATH pleathers for these but have no idea exactly which ones those are?

FYI, Lowepro makes excellent camera/equipment cases, familiar with them due to one of my other hobbying addictions blink.gif

So last night I missed out on a not-insignificant amount of sleep because I couldn't stop listening to what a whole lot of songs sound like on these. Mm, Tool.

But tonight I've stuck them in their burn-in box - not before an episode of Breaking Bad, mind - tonight I need to catch up on some shut-eye.

Ah, expensive hobbies. I seem to have a thing for those.

Next up, a decent DAC. Such slippery slopes I slide on. rolleyes.gif

The upgrade the one guy did with the Blue pads and blue cable is MIGHTY enticing simply for the coolness factor alone. it takes something like 1-2 weeks to deliver from japan i think

Mine took 14 days.

 

It's either wait or pay a large sum for expedited, international shipping. I chose to wait.

It only cost me two extra bucks for expedited shipping, so instead of waiting a month, i waited about 9 days. :D
