Anyone else finding the headband too big to fit on your head tight enough?

Hello, i'm new to Head-fi.org. I've found this thread via Google, i'm definitely interested by those S500s, i've actually read every single page of this thread but i haven't found any fit pic. I usually avoid foldable phones as they may end up skewed on my head... If any of you would agree to share a pic (with your face blurred, i don't mind) wearing thoses phones, it would definitely help me.. Thank you in advance. :)

I really agree with dsnuts upgrading your fiio cable is worth it. I have been playing with making my first cables. I am almost done with a recable of my s500 that i started for fun but now im wondering if im not going to get very noticable improvement out of it.

In the process i decided to make a mini to mini cable i could plug into my fiio L11 lod. The real reason i made it was to have one long enough to use with my ipad to watch movies on flights. The fiio L cable left my amp dangling...yikes. U can see the one i made here:
LL

It is my first so i plugged it in after testing continuity just to make sure it worked ok... I mean i wasnt even trying to see how it sounded at all. But bam! It hit me. The difference was noticeable. The best way i could describe it is as if someone had put a thin layer of cloth around my drivers while i wasnt looking and now it has finally been removed! It wasnt drastic like changing pads or anything but certainly worth investing in a better lod cable or lod.

My cable is made of silver plated ofc 24awg. The fiio cant be any thicker than 28awg. And for sure the stock wire in the jvc is TINY! Like 28 awg or smaller.

So i am looking forward to see if i hear a difference when i install the new cable i made for the s500. Ill for sure share my results.

Totally agree with this 100%. Upgrading away from L9 was the best thing I could of done for my rig, It was like lifting a veil of the signal. I try to explain to people Fiio cables are average however the convenience of a right angle plug seem to blind them from moving on. I use Canare LOD's / Interconnects hand made by an ebay seller. They only cost $16 for the LOD and $8 for the interconnect version. A small price for such a difference.

Those Fiio LOD's are causing weak links in your rigs.

An example of the difference in thickness.

This cable is all you need. Cost $10. They raised the cost by a buck since I bought mine. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280973034324

Starting to get impatient for my HD25 velours to get here. This is the longest session I've put these through, and the stock pads get sweaty after a while.

Im thinking this cable performs like the one i just made and if so i definitely recommend trying it.

The following is the jargon from the fiio website anout their precious "PCOCC copper" cables (L9 and L3). Id imagine they sound the same as the L1 which is the cheaper OFC version of their LOD. This marketing successfully kept me from upgrading earlier thinking I had a superior cable...

*PCOCC-A: PCOCC copper is a material that includes very few impurities and insures very low levels of signal disturbance. Because of its low incidence of grain boundaries, the signal passes without impediment or distortion. Heating and cooling the PCOCC wire under controlled circumstances yields a densely re-crystallized, highly pure structure called a μ conductor. The resulting product with a mirror finish applied is called PCOCC-A copper. This highly advanced product is made possible by the combined application of high technology and traditional Japanese craftsmanship.

BTW speaking of FiiO they just posted on their website New USB DAC for mobile phones but I don't see the dac specs. Maybe typo?
