Painting my HD-25's was a PITA, and took forever, but you learn something everyday.

Love the attention to detail on this paint job! Very nice!

I especially like the re-cable.

Amazing!

Pft. Attention to detail....

 

If you saw them in person, you'd see that I suck at painting. Where are you beautiful T50rp's!

 

I used Duplicolor self etching primer, then rustoleum lacquer, then duplicolor acrylic clear enamel. Apparently the clear enamel takes 7 days to fully dry, but I could never wait that long. :P

Is the red on the cups glossy?

Yes the cups are glossy, took a few coats of clear enamel to get that look.

 

Really? No one else has DIY paint jobs?

I did it by hand with an acrylic paint. A terrible choice in retrospect, but a few coats plus a varnish on top and it wasn't half bad.

Great!

 

By brain had the weird reflex of changing w/e with week end. Kinda made me wonder what a DIY painted week end looks like...

 

Oh and by the way, that black and red HD25 is fabulous! It makes for an eye catching avatar, if nothing else. beerchug.gif
