Lightweight Over-ear recommendations

Thread Starter

Hello everyone,

I am in need for some portable lightweight headphones. I really like the over-ear design over the on-ear. Also, as these will serve as travel headphones, I would like it to have iPhone/iPod microphone inline remote. I went to Best Buy and looked at the Bose AE2i and they seem good but was wondering if there are any other headphones that will be in the same category as the AE2i. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I would advise against using a noise cancelling headphone.

They introduce a frequency mix along with your music.

Popular for the general Best Buy shopper, but not for someone who wants to hear pure music.

Others will be along shortly to chime in... Stay Tuned!

With your requirements, the Bose may as well be your best choice. Keep in mind that if you plan to use these at all when not travelling and can drop the noise cancelling, there will be many better options.

Incase Sonic is supposed to be good.  I also listened to the Sony DR-ZX701IP yesterday (on clearance at Staples for about $110) and they sound great.

Those Incase HP are on sale over at Graveyard Mall for $23.99 daily deal. They seem to be prety well reviewed all around and would fit your needs. http://www.graveyardmall.com/incase-reflex-over-ear-headphones-open-box-shipped-free/

Problem(so people don't confuse it and order what they don't really want) is that the Sonic is over the ear and the Reflex is on ear. They made a mistake listing them as over ear.
