My headphones say that I love music, and, as a scientist, my approach to listen it is about the same as the one I take in my life: Seek the truth, sometimes in an unfriendly enviroment.

My current headphones are the AKG K550, Etymotic HF5, Phonak Audéo PFE 112 and Westone 4R, and have previously owned Sennheiser's HD202, CX500 and Audio-Technica A700. They show that I like to see things as they are, as far that can be done, and all that is there to be seen, not only in one gender but in many, as a eclectic person my headphones should be able to perform good with any music.

Also not always I have the luxury to sit at home and enjoy some very good things of life, so is shown in the fact that most of my headphones must have good build quality and at least minimum isolation so I can use them on the go and on the work, where many hours are made much more enjoyable and productive by them! (And can't thank enough Etymotic for the number of times that their noise negation saved my ears ....)

One last thing that my headphones tell about me is that although I crave the best sound possible, I can appreciate an achievement for what it is and for what it have to offer, even though it's not the best by itself.

My SE110's and modified HD428's probably say I don't deserve these.  However, they show a willingness to do the best with what I have and demonstrate that I would absolutely have a daily use for them no matter what I am listening to.  They show that I favor analytical listening over painful treble or muddy bass.  Clearly I have a great distance to go, but with an N22 on the desk at home and an E11 soon to arrive for on the go, I am ready to make a move upward.

At work there is a culture of music while we work.  There are M50's and some other offerings around.  Listening on an average of 7 hours per day, my headphones are noticed and asked about.  It would be an honor to be an heir to the throne that is Heir 4.Ai.

Thanks for the entry!

For me, a lot can be gleaned about a person from their Headphones/IEMs.Whether they are using budget headphones or more high end ones, generally someone wearing popular but not well reviewed headphone (such as Beats by Dre) cares more about the fasion statement they make rather than the sound, or thought they were paying for quality without researching, which is a statement about how impulsive they are. Someone who is using a modified (well reviewed, EG Portapros, Fostex T50RPs) budget headphone gets more respect from me than people who just bought headphones for the fashion statement in a world where people constantly claim to love music but listen to it through stock buds using Youtube rips.

I use Denon AHD2000s, I chose them because I was told they are a perfect partner for dance music (my favourite genre), but they are quite good for everything.

My Audio Techinca ATH-M50s and RHA MA-350 say that I'm new to the high end audio game, and am looking for good value.

Thank you for this oppurtunity.

My headphones describe who I am, and what I plan to do.

As a MOT, they are my livelihood.

As a human being, they are my salvation from the turmoil of the world.

My DIY painted headphones reflect how I am a stand out character in the crowd. That beacon of light in a sea of black. I always want my possessions to be as unique of a character as I am, and my HD-25's exude this characteristic. Bright red symbolizes my Asian heritage. Being unique also allows me to break away from the mold and explore new horizons. A modular design offers great versatility, similarly I have often been selected to accomplish a myriad of tasks due to my well rounded education.

My headphones describe me at every angle, but I would not be if it weren't for the music. If headphones were my passion, then music would be my love. May the music never die. Long live the king and his queen, Melody.

"1. Tell us what your headphones say about you."

My headphones tell people that I'm a purist, looking for the closest that I can get to realism (but at a much lower price than what you'd spend on comparable speakers.)

I enjoy a wide variety of sound signatures, but in the end I tend to spend the most time with the headphones and IEM that disappear sonically, where the sound doesn't appear to be coming from little speakers sitting next to my ears.

Personally, I own a pair of Monster Turbines and a pair of Audio-Technica's AD900. I feel that the Turbines are somewhat like me. When I have them on, I'm all business-like and unapproachable. I'm like sleek and sexy and all that, like you're not worth my time and stuff. However, as with the Turbines, I do like to grab some attention, without really standing out, you know what I mean. I want to be in a crowd and people will be like "meh, same old crowd as always" and BOOM! I'm there, but I'm gone. I like it when people think they saw something really interesting eye-catching, and either they think they missed it or it was just their imagination. I like to be elusive and IN YOUR FACE at the same time, and I think the Turbines complement that perfectly. At home, where I use my AD900s, I feel that I can be me, my real self. No more hiding in the shadows and behind others, just loud and not caring about what others think of me. These open cans represent the real me, where I can speak my mind to others, not caring if they get offended or not. I mean, thats what open cans are for right? You listen to your favorite tracks with them, and even if someone comes over and tells you that your music is bothering them, you simply shrug and say :"I'm sorry, you can leave if you want, but me and my cans ain't going nowhere. You can either stay and appreciate the music leaking through these open cans, or you can just go somewhere else." I'm not exactly an audiophile, so I may not know great quality earphones and headphones when I see them, but what i know is that Heir Audio has been crafting some of the most magnificent monitors I've heard and seen and it will definitely be an honor to be able to be able to listen the 4.Ai's.

As someone who Travels from conus to Asia several times a month, my IEM's make a statement of audio bliss in a sea of Bose and Dre. and often draw the curious out of their shells to inquire about a new realm of audio nirvana.

I think the thing my headphones about me is that I appreciate the brilliance of musicians and want to listen to their work as accurately as possible.

I have the Ultrasone HFI-580; While their not the most expensive or best sounding, they do what I need them to do, which is provide lots of detailed bass when listening to EDM; so while they don't do everything, they do a couple things really well; a bit like me!!

What do my IEMs say about me?

My cheap IEMs ( Final Audio Piano Forte II, Brainwavz Beta) say that I'm in need for a better sounding ( more expensive) IEM. I can be satisfied by small things but such an IEM like Heir Audio 4.Ai will blow my mind.
