this cable is far better and cheaper than the "overpriced" Chord Audio Cobraplus that I bought for $100...now i know which cable company to stay away from.

Hey all...

Pyst balanced cables are finally available! Featuring Straight Wire Symphony II cable and new Universe Balancing™ technology to improve your system throughout all the alternate universes you exist in! Or, well...maybe not. As before, these are nice, well-made short cables, 9" long, perfect for connecting Gungnir and Mjolnir. $40.

We'll get some pictures up on the site soon. In the meantime, here you go:

In a not-quite-entirely-frivolous announcement, we're introducing a short pair of RCA cables for stacking our amps and DACs: the Schiit PYST.

Yes, PYST. PYST was the god of drinking in Norse mythology. He’d be much better-known if he wasn’t getting schiit-faced all the time. Or, well, not actually. PYST stands for Put Your Schiit Together.

Schiit SuperHyperUltraGigaTechnology in Every Pair

These cables are made from only the finest 6-nines Unobtanium™ alloy, molecularly assembled in our Alternate Universe™ reality-distortion tesseract field , using a secret geometry reverse-engineered from crashed UFOs, painstakingly smuggled out of Area 51 by deep-cover operatives. Performance is further enhanced by the use of a QuantConnect™ quantum-entangled pair of transmission interfaces, held at absolute zero by our exclusive Stasis Field™ technology. The cables are then wrapped in NanoAeroCap™, a nanotechnology-enabled aerogel anti-capacitance insulation system, featuring Fractal Interleaved Geometry™ to create negative inductance for maximum audio transmission quality.

Or, er, well, again . . . no. These are nice, high-quality cables, with solid, reliable connectors. And they’re short. And not too expensive. That’s it. We hope you like them!

$20 for a set of 6" made-in-USA cables is the bottom line.

But you did forget the part about dunking them in superconducting helium superfluid.

I'd have paid $5 extra if it mentioned that each cable is field tested by drunken gnomes in the frozen fjords of the north.
Gnomebody does field tests like drunken gnomes.

However, gnomes or no gnomes, next time I get something from Schiit I think I'll get a pair of these as well. Thank you Jason for continuing the idea that audiophilia should be both practical and affordable. (Though if you had gnomes it would also be afjordable.)

How about drunken Schiit employees in Newhall, CA? Yeah, I know . . .

Jason,

can you make a 1.5ft version of it. i like the pricing, but not all of use are stacking. my DAC and Amp will be about 1.5ft away. it'll be nice to have length options.

No! You'll just have to buy Straight Wire. tongue_smile.gif

Hint: It's Straight Wire, and the cable is Flexconnect II.

I don't see Flexconnect II on the Straight Wire website. Where does it fall in terms of their interconnect line up?

Not that it likely matters much, just curious.
