Les Chansons Des Roses - La Rose Complete and, especially, Dirait-on ... on Lux Aeterna by Morten Lauridsen.  It's heavenly, but, then again, I'm old.

Every time I hear this song, I just literally burst into tears. So beautifully played, such heart-plucking vocals... I'm crying now.. frown.gif

Destroysall.

I can only agree. I played that song to a friend of a friend during the summer and she was pretty much in tears by the time we got to the end of the song. I need to re-rip the soundtrack one of these days because I think I only have it as AAC files on my HDD right now. This is probably one of the best produced albums I've heard.

Gonna be the third. God it's been too long since I listened to the OST for this.

The end of Mahler's 2nd. First time I ever cried at a live performance. And I'm a classically trained musician!

Anything by The XX, but probably for the wrong reasons. These guys just seem so sad :(

Sting - Why Should I Cry For You. I'm not even a particularly big Sting fan but this one just kills me.

The Mahler mentions made me think of the Adagietto from his 5th symphony. Doesn't necessarily make me cry but I think it might have when I first heard it about 35 years ago. Brilliant and profound piece of music.

Brian Eno's "An Ending (Ascent)" got to me the first several times I heard it. It's been used in a fair number of films now. Even Top Gear has used it on their show.
