MX500 has been discontinued for so long that the cable would likely degrade in quality as well. I'll suggest you pick up a cheap MX500 clone from places like DX, then find a better cable for transplant.

Well this was a concern from the start regarding build quality. Last month I bought a cheap mp3 player for $3 of ebay. Funny thing is that headphones that where included came with the same casing on the M2C and TM7, just white. 

 

I wish Blox would make a better effort into durability as they do with how the earbud sounds.

blox just posted on their website, seems like they will have a limited quantity of TM7 drivers + M2C housing earbuds for sale

Seems the spec's are a little different from the original TM7's, I wonder how much of a difference it will make.

 

Kinda temped but just ordered a 2nd pair of M2Cs

Yes indeed, so tempting I just bought a pair. I do not see them lasting long, and I know I will regret it later on.

Do we have a status that shows the remaining units on the ANV version? They only stated 133 available.

 

I want to order but am still contemplating between a DAC and this earbud. The M2C are magnificent buds for their price and I missed the TM7 boat so I surely don't want to miss this one.
