As ClieOS says, the Living are quite analytical and can be sibilant. I like them, but sometimes the highs are too sharp. The Live are better overall since they are more balanced

I've got Aiwa HP-D2, D9 and V541, and Sony MDR-E282, E464 and E484

You have to be prepared to pay a lot for the more well known Aiwa and Sony earbuds. But you can find older and lesser known Aiwa earbuds cheap. I got my HP-D2 for around 10 euro in total and I'd rank them on the same level as Yuin PK2 and Blox M2C. They are quite lean on bass, but have a very detailed and tranparent sound. I got the HP-V541 cheap as well and they are much more bassy but less detailed than the D2.

Back to topic, since this is a Blox TM7 thread. I have ordered a pair and hopefully they will arrive by next week. I've sold my M2C, so I cannot compare the TM7 to those, but I'll try to post my impressions.

I have a pair of M2C and a pair of TM7 on their way...was planning to compare before deciding which to sell...I'll do my best to do a comparison of sorts...

I had a pair of M2C, but I sold it away when I knew that TM7 was coming. Maybe it's a wrong decision. But I believe TM7 will be outstanding because its brother - TM5 is very famous with earbuds-lovers.:X

Lol, I sold tm5 twice! The thing with tm5 is it's dark mellow sound sig, its enveloping full-sized bass and of course its monumental soundstage, it's absolutely huge like a big cage around your head sometimes and very very deep. Its only downside is the speed which is why I sold it.

If you have tried m2c, tm5 has the same speed. Tm5 is idea for laid-back classical music lovers, its Beethoven got all the right elements, grand, passionate, hard-hitting, same with Brahms too... lol

I had  the TM5  and sold them  as well ...but I must say that the bass was the best I had ever heard from a earphone!

I have received the TM7 and they are very good. Haven't compared them to the MX980, but they should not be too far behind. Very lush and smooth sound that at the same time is detailed. The TM7 isn't very bassy in the sense that it's bass heavy. You can hear bass rather than feel it, something that I like.

Will post more impressions after I have had time to compare it to my other earbuds. I can at least say that the TM7 are better than my other recent buys: NW Studio Pro, Hisoundaudio Live & Living. They're all good in their own ways, but the TM7 draws you into the music in a way that the other three don't.

Interested to read the differences between the TM7 and MX980. Between the two the latter definitely looks like it'll last much longer. 

...still waiting on mine...last note on the tracking number says they had been processed through the New York sorting facility on the seventh of September. Now they have to make it across the country :\ *siiiigh*

Oh! That came totaly out of the blue! I have completely missed the MX985. I assume that it is a tweaked version of the MX980. The only visual difference is the jack plug.

The plug is improved but I also believe the Y joint and volume control are combined now and the back of the housing is alloy instead of plastic.

Apologies though, as this is the TM7 thread, and I seemed to have started to make it veer off. So, enough of the competition for now and back to the Blox. Later on, when both are more readily available, may the best phone win :) I look forward to the comparisons.
