Anyone know when Blox is releasing their new flagship to replace the TM7? I was told it was Q3 2014, so shouldn't it be in the next few weeks (start of July)? I am very excited, and hope it is the new standard in buds. Blox still has the BE5 for sale so I am curious if they will release the other model if their model hasn't sold out yet.

Should i wait for the new flagship ? I need a new earbud and im seriously thinking of getting BE5 . Is it true that they will be release in July ?

I got a response from bloxearpones . The development of the new flagship has gone quite slow so the release is likely to be Q4 instead of Q3

If you burn in BE5 more than 500 hours you get a soundstage you won't believe! It's huge, layered, full-sized, speaker like soundstage. Gone is the bright and occasionally lean sound with bass detached from the spectrum, after burn in the sound has become completely integrated! This really remind me of my experience with TM5, dynamic, layered, big sounding. My only quibble with TM5 is its somewhat low speed, this has improved a great deal with BE5! BE5 is very natural sounding. I will burn in a bit more and compare to MX985 then.

Are BE5's better than the ANV3s? I don't know which to buy... And is hifiman really releasing an earbud soon?

Woo from Blox said in terms of sound quality BE5 is on par with TM7 while sharing different sound signiture, and ANV3 is inferior to TM7 so yes, I would say BE5 is better than ANV3 in pure sound quality.

Hifiman are giving out their flagship earbuds ES100 for testing to people and revising it, but it seems there is no definite release date yet.

Oh right, thank you kanonathena. What sound signatures do the BE5 and TM7 have? Which one is warmer with more bass? And can I run these without amps?

Both of them are natural sounding although the sound signature is different due to using different driver. I would imagine TM7 has a somewhat lush sounding mids (never tried them), the BE5 I have is quite natural and linear with good bass amount but still maintain an overall very analog sound, a very good all-rounder. I remember someone in this thread or the TM7 review said the BE5 has more bass from his memory of TM7. I wouldn't doubt that since BE5 has very good bass quantity, more bass than MX985.

Oh right, thank you. Any idea on how many units are sold by Blox Earphone before they're out of stock? I'm really thinking of picking up a pair. Hopefully they're not as fragile as the Paa1 Pro's.

I don't know how many units of BE5 they have sold but they are still available on Blox website.
