Blox earbuds Discussion (TM7, M2C, ANV3, BE5) - Page 39

Any further impressions.....from you lucky owners out there?

Gear mentioned in this thread:

I mentioned before about having the Acoustibuds (it was OK, after cutting off the nozzle to make them into donuts) and the Yurbuds on the way. Well, the Yurbuds arrived and it's an amazing pairing with the BE5. Bass is the biggest benefactor as it can be felt more. The sound feels warmer (lower mids sound fuller) vs no covers (sounds a little lean with emphasis on the lower treble). The highs are retained and the soundstage takes minimal hit. Very GR07BE-like (without the prone to sibilance). And the Yurbuds lock the buds into the ear with their twistlock mechanism. $10 for 2 pairs straight from their site vs $16+ for one pair in Amazon or eBay. I encourage you guys to try it out. I also got a few foam covers coming. Burn in time clocked in at a 50-60 hours.

What size/s Yurbud caps did you get? I was thinking of selling my BE5. They went a bit too balanced for my liking and isolation needs. Excellent buds but not sure how long before I get an amp or X1 or something like that to flesh them out. Not sure I'm even gonna spend the cash since i have car stuff this year; registration, inspection, brakes, and tires all fall this year so I might just sell them on and get back some funds.

I got the size 5. I normally use medium sized IEM tips (green Sony hybrids) and the size 5 are a good fit. It helps with isolation a bit. I was in the same boat in terms of funds and car expenses the last few months (ignition module $500 in Nov '13, cat converter $400 Feb and smog check+registration $160 in March...but I'm keeping these.

I thought I bought the signature series, but what I got was the limited edition series. Same price and works.

Mine arrived yesterday .......Firstly they have a wonderfully soundstage really big but the trick they have pulled off is to actually fill the soundstage! A few quick points:-

+ that soundstage

+ Very easy to drive (easier than the ANV3)

+ Already sounds better than the ANV3

+ Mids, Highs & Bass are all present and no one overpowers the other.

+ lean sound ..not bright , not coloured....just lean.

+ sound signature sort of reminds me of the legendary TM5.......

- Sound will change with "burn in" this has been the case with all the blox earbuds in my experience.

-The flag ship model for later in the year could be something special.......

All listening was done via my iphone 4.

You've said "$10 for 2 pairs straight from their site" - but I see 10$ for 1 pair.

Did you buy "Ambient aware" or 'Noise isolating"?

It seems the difference is that the noise isolating has the ribs or fins on the nozzle. From the picture I posted previously, it's the Ambient Aware version without the ribs/fins.

Hi all,

I placed an order for 2 pairs of earbuds on Dasetn's website about 3/4 weeks ago, so far no news and I sent already 2 mails to "help desk" and still no reply.

I just would like to know how long did it takes to get your order from Dasetn?

Thanks
