Hi Everyone, hope this is not a dupe thread as i couldnt find any govibe discussion thread yet.

Govibe is a headphone amplifier/dac company from canada (According to Jaben which is their sole distributor)
They design Desktop/Portable amplifiers/dac for different kind of usage, however currently it seem they're more focusing on Portable range, with old and new products transition, their website didnt fully disclose all the product ranges, which pretty sad as they should focus more on Online as well.

Official Website : http://govibeamp.com/index.php

"GREAT SOUND, HIGH QUALITY, INNOVATIVE" - GOVIBE PORTABLE AMPLIFIERS FOR HEADPHONE AND EARPHONE

1000

Govibe Product Range
(They are unofficial, as some of the product inside their official website are discontinued, this list is base on their online store in worldwide.)

-Govibe Mini Box Amplifier (2012 Edition)
-Govibe Mini Udac
-Govibe Magnum Amp/DAC
-Govibe Vulcan+ Amp
-Govibe Vulcan Mini Amp
-Govibe Multi Amp
-Govibe Peak Desktop Amp
-Govibe Martini+ Amplifier
-Govibe Martini U Amp/DAC
-Govibe Sharp Amp
-Govibe Portatube Amp
-Govibe Portatube+ Amp/DAC
-Govibe Vest Amp
-Govibe Vest+ 24/192 Bitrate Amp/DAC
-Govibe Volante Tube Amp/DAC
-Govibe Petite Amp/DAC

-Govibe Single Amp

Personally i'm using their Govibe Mini Box Amplifier (2012 Edition) for outdoor easy listening and Govibe Vest+ 24/192 Amp/Dac for PC/laptop, surprisingly despite their popularity, they are amazingly great in the quality.

So i decide to share this with everyone and have more discussion on other models that i didnt experience before.

How do you guys think about this brand?

P/S : Sorry for my bad english

This is good, I have owned the Govibe Mini box amp and Govibe martini+!

Now I am thinking to upgrade to either Govibe Vestamp+ or Govibe Magnum amp/dac

I owned the Porta-Tube ..... expensive, but sounded 'magical' (made my Beyers sing).

Reviews for those interested .....

Regret selling it - it was a really good transportable amp.

I remember there is a gain switch inside. You just need to open up the casing using Allen key.

GoVibe made magnificent amps. Especially the top ends. Previously they had the GoVibe PPK, which is VERY neutral and does not emphasis any of the frequency. It just improved them and make them smooth and silky. It also has a balanced digital potentiometer to control the volume.

Now that they had this Vestamp and it is an improved version of PPK. Gonna love them all! smily_headphones1.gif

currently i'm enjoying the power + neutrality of Vest+ DAC/Amp.
It provides clear 24/192 with the capability to drive 250Ohm DT880pro in a good extend.
For such a small size, it is crazy!!
Hopefully can get up a review as soon as possible.

I own the Govibe Petite + DAC, awesome for me as I will bring out my laptop and go around some time.

And the DAC is way better than my laptop soundcard.

I love the GoVibe Porta Tube+. In some ways, it is my favourite sounding portable amplifier. If you're interested in my review, it's here. It's brightness (in comparison to many valve amps) is incredible and it has a low output impedance and low levels of hiss so that IEM's are a great pair with it. Wonderful in almost every regard.

love the porta tube as well, had a chance to compare with Continental v2 and tube side by side.
Seem porta provides better dynamic and extension, while the continental sounds like a tube amp.

Add the derringer to the list :)

I own one and it definitely improves my listening experience with my ASG-1.2 by adding slight upper freq detail and sparkle :)

That is probably the best way to sum it up. The Continental is very like a Woo Audio 3+ to a more laid back 6SE, and the Porta Tube is like a softer (not dulled) nice SS amp. Favourite for sure. That said, the Continental is made much better and for many reasons I prefer it as an investment.

good review you have there!!
i'm currently using this model for my outdoor usage, the clip feature does really help in my constant moving situation.
The size and connectivity really improve convenient in my life.
However the volume control seem pretty fine for me, as i'm using HTC phone, control the volume from one side (from the phone) seem ok, but the lacking of line out feature do making ipod users headache.
