Anyway, people do realize that most if not all people start listening to music before becoming an audiophile?
I know some of my music isn't mastered with audiophiles in mind, but I don't care because it sounds good!
People listen to what sounds good to them, but I personally say I now prefer to listening to higher fidelity songs, but however it's mastered or whatever kind of music it is, if you like it that's your choice.

Mhmmm biggrin.gif

I'm someone who thinks music before equipment.
Even if my music is poorly recorded/mastered, I'll still listen to it. The little itty bitty nuances will bug me, but it doesn't mean I can't enjoy it.

Ummm.....Who cares what your friends and other people think. The only significant reason why someone may care is if someone is in a low income situation where every penny counts and surviving financially is a challenge. Perhaps I may understand if that is the case.

But really- in the real world, who cares what others think! Do you care if someone spent crazy thousands of dollars on a Harley Davidson motorcycle and it's their hobby? Are you or your friends really that concerned? Personally, I don't give a crap if my neighbor spent thousands and thousands of dollars on his boat or his $20,000 motorcycle. It's their business and it's their hobby. Is your mind so weak that you have to care what others think?

Many hobbies are expensive and if you or your friends are not aware of this, tell them to get out and explore the real world.

I tried to convince them but they decided that it's not something that they should concentrate on, I did give my best friend a Superlux HD660 with a FiiO E3 though, then I found out that he had a few great AT portables.

I'm lucky that my friends "get" expensive hobbies, so to an extent, they get headphones. I've actually sold some of my headphones to friends because they liked them so much. One friend I sold my XB700's and Koss Pro DJ100's, another I sold my Ultrasone PROline 750's, and another I sold my K81DJ's.

And of course I can't forget that I introduced the Head-fi user Whitecrow to headphones. He's spent a couple grand on his headphones, so I'm sure he curses me every day. tongue.gif

I wouldn't be surprised if he was loaded, I'd say if he does get an Orpheus setup that would be a huge upgrade over his MS Pros LOL
