Reason for Selling:

I've had these two HD650s for a while now. I originally bought them both to wear level between them as I anticipated spending a lot of time listening in my office. I was paranoid about having a single set of these and manifesting wear as they are not leather padded devices.

Recently I've felt that owning two so that I can 'wear level' them is a bit to opulent. I don't spend enough time listening to headphones because of my stereo equipment. I've decided to part with one of these. In the past I have owned Beyerdynamic DT880 and AGK701/702, I've sold all other headphones as the HD650 is what I spend all of my time with. Maybe someday I'll move to the Audeze.

Condition:

There is relatively no signs of wear on these devices, I've tried to capture very detailed images of the internals of the pads so you can see that there is literally zero residue from their use.

I cannot find any blemishes on the headphones. I store them in their cases and try to use them evenly.

They are about 1 year old. I use them up to 2 hours a day on week days and rarely on weekends. They have been paired with a Schiit Valhalla and a Cambridge Audio DacMagic Plus.

Hygiene:

I'm very controlled in how I use my headphones. I will only wear these early in the morning prior to heading to my office (after a showering and drying off well) and when I return home for the evening (but only after a second shower).

I had a friend who had HD650s and Grado GS1000 that smelled like a goat from his poor headphone conscious hygiene, I've always been very worried to ensure mine have zero odor.

The only possibility of odor comes from the two colognes that I wear (Creed Original Santal or Royal-Oud).

Cost:

I'm asking $320 which I believe is fair from the other listings I'm seeing however It appears that everyone places extraordinary relevance on the time that these headphones have spent making sounds.
