Help Purchasing New Sub 200$ IEM W/ Mic

Hey guys, first post on head-fi, I am hoping some people can give some recommendations about buying some a new pair of IEM headphones.

What I am looking for:

Under 200$

Has a mic for skype use and computer use

Above all great sound quality

Preferably headphones that didn't require an amp, but if they do, then please recommend an amp

Comfortable to wear for many hours at a time.

I guess I really just want a some headphones for everything.  I spending extended periods of time gaming at my computer and on would like to be able to use the same headphones I listen to music with, to be able to talk with friends through skype.

My portable music player is a Cowon J3, which I hope is a good music player, I haven't really tried many other than that, ipods, and a zune.  I saw that Cowon came out with the Z2, wondering if anyone has tried that and if it is worth upgrading to.

As far as my music tastes I generally don't listen to a lot of Electronic/ Hip hop/ Pop/ Rap but I really do I have a wide range of songs,   all with vocalist though.

Any help  would be amazing, I'm excited to join and audiophile community, as I have good ears for music but haven't very little experience with equipment.  Again thanks a ton.   :D

For electron, rap and hip hop?!  It won't provide the bass...

Ideas:

  • PFE1xx series (get green filters if you still need more bass)
  • Monster Gratitude
  • V-Moda Vibrato

Those are the ones I own/heard...  Atrios may also be a good idea as well...

Ah, I should read closer...  Then subtract the Vibrato out of that list :p

So:

  • Phonak PFE 1xx (filters can change sound), don't get greens, stick with black or grey
  • MEElectronics A161p
  • Etymotic HF3 or HF2 (iPhone and Android respectively)
  • Moshi Clarus (if you consider it an IEM), no isolation though
  • Monster Gratitude (if you can live with some microphonics)

Not to argue, But to disagree...

It makes the bass for me.

Perhaps it is not having the proper deep insertion.

Try it out. Ety has a video of how to do it.

Unless VSonic created a model with the remote and mic, it doesn't meet that requirement.

I'm inserting correctly.  It's a lighter IEM that doesn't have the impact and bass presence for those genres.  Compare them to something like the PFE 1xx with black filters, or even the Gratitudes...

Bloated Bass and Accurate Bass are two separate things.

To say that an Ety Product does not have sufficient bass is in error.

I have heard it. I know it to be true.

The Ety Product Line is one of the most accurate sound producing headphones.

If a person wants to tailor the sound of their headset. It is much easier to do with a quality driver such as is found in an Ety Product.

In My Opinion, Jim

Have you heard either IEM I mentioned above...  Neither have bloated bass... I'm actually curious, do you own any IEMs that aren't from the Ety household.  Etys aren't bad, but they aren't for everything.  You make them seem like godsends...

The Etys could duplicate and/or exceed any IEMs bass with EQ. (in the same price range)
