Got a Sony D-36 pcdp and it didn't have an AC adapter. Specs call for 9V. Will any 9V power supply work? I can't find the originals anywhere-(AC-E6M). Thanks.
Will any 9V power supply work for my Sony D-36?

Looks like the standard polarity on 99% of the power supplies is center positive. Would this work? http://www.ebay.com/itm/6-PLUG-500mA-UNIVERSAL-AC-DC-ADAPTER-1-5V-3V-6V-9V-12V-4-5V-/380457774351?pt=Travel_Adapters_Converters&hash=item58950ced0f
Check the polarity symbol near the ac adapter tip on your D-36 to see what polarity it is. If the polarity symbol matches the one I've posted above, it will only accept a centre negative polarity adapter. It the symbol on
your D-36 is positive polarity then you can use that adapter that you're looking at on Ebay. There's also 9V ac adapters that will allow you to switch polarities.
Edit: upon looking further in that Ebay auction you posted, you can use that adapter as it will allow you to switch between negative and positive polarities. Just make sure you have the right polarity set on the adapter before using it.
