This is really bugging me: when running my ZX700's out of my Little Dot I+ the signal is very noisy. From what I gather an impedance adapter would fix this, is my understand correct? If so, where could I get one?

I used this amp mainly with a pair of HD 650 and it does what it is supposed to do: it has way more power than I need, it's quiet and it makes everything sound in its place. I have never heard...

Pardon the bump, but any info would be much appreciated.
post #3 of 77/25/12 at 5:55amCan't help you with the Little Dot, but the ZX700 doesn't play well with the FIIO E17 either. Vocals are more recessed with this combo than running it straight from a portable device.

Try changing the tubes on the Little Dot I+. They might be reaching the end of their lifespan.

I would think if that were the case I'd get noise with other headphones, but I'm not.

Try these Etymotic resistance adapters on Ebay:
I would personally avoid the first two since they are just giant TRS jacks and the extra weight can damage your amp over time.

Thanks for the links! I half-expected something like this to cost a lot of money!

EDIT: Shame none of them ship from within the US. 15 days seems a little long to wait for an adapter. Maybe I'll keep looking around. At least I know what to search for now!
