All I have to say is that their awesome pair of headphones. Great sound stage, vocals are a bit too strong, you can feel the bass other than hearing it, and great for movies. Comfort is 4.5...
I know people bash on Bose because of they're over priced and I agree. I believe these retail for about $150 or so and I paid $85 for these due to employee discount at where I work. With that...
I bought these headphones as an upgrade from my BD DT-770 Pro 80Ohm.
The are better in all areas, except that the right can can't handle bass. As soon as there are low bass it just becomes a...
I just picked these up today so this is just an initial assessment. These are a great sounding headphone overall but the fact that they are also closed back and still have great soundstage at...
everything about these headphones is flawless. Everything is balanced, and perfect. Any of the reviews that didn't like them most likely have a fake pair, or, hate life. The only thing I could...
I had to vote "yes", because the output RCA jacks were malfunctioning. My amp is, as we speak sitting in a fedex-style box, waiting to be shipped back to AA for a replacement. Ughh... the shipping label was supposed to come today but didn't... damn postal service...!!
But besides that problem, the SXH1 was an AWESOME amp with my 650s.
Had problem with both of the rev. 0.3 that've purchased (Hum issue). I can verify that the Rev. 0.5 is free from defect. Both versions sound nearly identical to my ears.
I have the SXH-1 Rev. 0.5 for about little over a month now and have not had any problems whatsoever. No workmanship defects or that notorious hum that plagued the Rev. 0.3. When mated with the CD3K, it's a match made in Heaven.
I bought Purk's rev. 0.5 a few weeks ago (thanks again!) and while I haven't had any performance problems I did notice something rattling around in the chassis when I unpacked the box. Upon investigation I found that one of the four plastic clips used to secure the electonics board to the chassis had snapped off. Consequently, when the amp is turned upside down the electronics board shifts around a bit. I don't think this is a big problem, but I'll think I'll ask the guys at AA if they have an extra clip. I polled that I've had problems but, as stated above, the problem doesn't affect sonic performance. I still recommend the perreaux wholeheartedly.
Well I've voted no, even though i got a squeel or buzz when touching the volume, I am fairly confident that was due to an interconnect not 100% firmly plugged in, and other than this, no problems at all, and it sounds great.

I spoke to AA, they only have 8 amps left. I was not to impressed with the amp and my Grado sr80, but was hoping to hear it with the Sennheiser 650's I just ordered. It will be sent back to AA, I think I'm going to go for a PPA (going to get to hear one of Voodoochile's later today!).
I have a rev 0.3 and had major hum with the CD3K, and none with HD600. I bought the unit used from a fellow head-fier who experienced no hum from the unit.
However, after an e-mail to Perreaux directly, the unit is on its way to New Zealand to be "fixed".
My fingers are crossed.
I have a V.3, and I am happy with it. No problem until I plugged in a pair of Shure E3c. Lots of obnoxious hum. Solution was easy: get rid of the E3c.
I did call AA, but since I bought the unit used, they were less than enthusiastic about the issue. They offered to work on it for $35/hr plus parts, with no time estimate.
I will contact Perreaux to see what they recommend. I figure that if I ever need to run it with low impedance cans I can cook up an L-network to fix the problem (easier than shipping to NZ).
