Stax Accessories (replacement headpad and DIY 15ft extension cord)
Will Ship To: CONUS
I sold my 007, and have no need for these accessories anymore. Here's a list of what I've got. Will update if I find more.
SOLD Stax headphone stand HPS2:
SOLD Stax CPC-1 dust cover:
Stax brown headpad (used):
These make a decent Grado headband with a little bit of modifying. I have taken out the inner elastic on one of these, and it slips over a Grado bare metal headband like a J$ headband would. Unfortunately, it is a little bit too short, so there is some metal showing on the sides of the headband. If you don't mind that, it makes a pretty nice headband. Pics to interested buyers.
SOLD Stax brown ear pads, used. They are not very fluffy anymore. They work ok, but you will probably want to replace the filling inside. The stock pads come with foam attached to a plastic disc, which is easy to pull out. I am third owner. First owner was a smoker. Smell has dissipated by now, but very very sensitive people might notice something.
DIY extension cord. Black. About 15 feet long. The maker of this cord did the plugs slightly out of the ordinary, in that that female plug is a 6-pin standard bias plug, but the male end is a 5-pin pro bias plug. This will work perfectly fine for connecting pro bias headphones to either standard or pro bias amps, and will also work for connecting standard bias headphones to standard bias amps. HOWEVER.... do NOT try to plug standard bias headphones into this cord, then plug it in to a pro bias amp. It will fry your headphones, and that's why SB plugs are made so they can't fit into pro bias jacks. I don't think this will be a problem for most people, but it's something to be aware of.
Price: 50 shipped to US, or best offer. Pics forthcoming if there is interest.
