Gimme back my HE-560s!  Oh wait, I don't have a wood stand.  That's next on my shopping list.  Seriously, very nice work.  I forget, is it the same material I used, or something else with the hex pattern?  Also, is there any dust screen behind them (always hard to tell in pix)?  You must/should be proud :)

Anyone know where I can buy plastic rings that hold the grill. Mine broke.

I think someone had luck bugging HiFiMAN for them.  At first they didn't want to provide them.  You could try contacting their customer service and/or post in this thread:

Good luck!

Keep us posted. I can use a pair of rings, too.

That possibility alone would keep me from doing the regrill. Did they break easily on you?

Even if the ring breaks, you should still be able to snap it into place and you'll hardly notice. A teensy tiny bit of superglue can also fix it back up, then when putting it back in slide the broken end in first so it flexes the least when you're popping the other sides in.

I used exactly the same car grill you used, black organza fabric, 3M Spray-on adhesive, and black gloss spraypaint. Thanks for pointing me to them! I'm definitely liking this look.

As for the wood stand, you can get them pretty cheap on eBay. Great aesthetics for the price I paid IMO!

Now I have a whole bunch of leftover materials that I'm wondering what to do with. Hmm....maybe if other head-fi members would a pair of these grills made I could do it for a nominal fee. If anyone would be interested in something like that do PM me!

Happy to help :)  I'm surprised that's glossy black.  Looks flat in the pic.  As long as you're happy with it.

I got that same stand on eBay for $42.  I have a couple plexiglass Brainwavz stands, but wanted something wood for my wood desk.

Yes, people have been asking for others to make these grills.  I think I got three PMs recently, but I'm out of grilling.  A couple people asked in this thread not long ago.  If you're serious, I can PM you the Head-Fiers names.

Yeah the gloss isn't obvious, but it gives off a slight sheen at the right angles which is good enough for me.

And yep, that's about how much I paid for my stand and I look the look on my birch desk!

And sure, I would appreciate it if you send me some of those names via PM =)

I'd be mightly interested if you were willing to ship internationally...
I'd pay the shipping of course! We'd agree on specifics via PMs.
Would be really nice of you man smily_headphones1.gif

I'd order two pairs or more to make it worth it at least somewhat. Can't have enough grilles. PM me if interested please.
