I am listening to the VEKTR right now and I can say it's FAR better than Beats Solo HD.  I am surprised by how comfy it is for an "on ear" headphones.

It would be cool for a F-22 or SR-17 pilot to own the VEKTR headphones. :)

They looks good but usually Monster stuffs are just priced too high if taken from the sound point of view. Maybe they charge more for the design of the headphones and not the sound.

I've owned the Beats by Dr.Dre Studio and they don't sound better than a Sony XB700.

The VEKTR is not bad sounding at all, but it's not HiFi at the same time.

Well I have poo poo'd Monster products for long enough, well beats anyway. Though unlike most people on here I have actually listened to them BEFORE slating them. I am in no way a fan of celeb endorsed products but know exactly why they do it, MONEY!

My personal opinion on beats are simple. If they were $99 they would be OK. But at triple that (and more). They are massively overpriced. Anyway, I have been offered a set of Inspiration active cans for half price and so will judge for myself and of course sell them on eHay to someone and get my money back (the only reason I'm willing to take the risk of paying if I'm honest). I want to live with them for a month or so first though to get a good feel for them and make an educated judgement on them. I had a 3 minute listen in a shop last week which got me interested but not convinced. Hence me wanting to try them. I would never pay full price for these as I do agree Monster products carry a premium price which I think is undeserving. I also listened to the vector but didn't like the look, sound, price. Though again the sound could be based on where I was (in a large shop). I know you will say that noise cancelling should mean I get a good idea of sound no matter where but that's rubbish. No one can tell me that a big busy shop is any environment to try cans out. Anyway, I'll try post some info next month.

I'm between the inspiration and VEKTR headphones which has better sound quality and which do you like better?

I like the VEKTR.  It has a more balanced sound. Inspiration has spike in highs and bass with recessed mids.
