Audiotechnica AD700's come in on Amazon right around the $100 mark and have an open and airy soundstage but they unfortunately are severely lacking in bass.
AKG K242HD = AKG K240mkII = AKG K240 Studio. But they need an amp, and a matching musical one at that.
Any more? If you call V-6's bass light I find the bass fine.
I agree with this one. Some people think the soundstage isn't so great. Not the best soundstage, but it seems close to accurate to me. Great headphones for movies and games too. Plenty of bass for explosions.
Headphone with Large Soundstage has a great sound. Large soundstage show the the quality of headphone. And gave us good and original sound.
um, what..
yeah erm what?
lol
Umm... going to guess maybe something was lost in the translation?
the akg271mk2 has a big soundstage too in a closed can format, and easily powered...sounds good out of an ipad.
i used to keep this in my truck. very light on the head. no issues with its hardiness...i dun sit on it :P
The AD700 is quite a bit lighter in the bass than the MDR-V6. My personal choice, coming from your standpoint on the V6, is the Fischer Audio FA-003 and its OEM cronies. While the Fischer-branded model would cost you around $200 including shipping, you can get the Jaycar-branded versions for much less here.
Another vote for the AD700. Yes, they lack bass, but they make up for it in soundstage.
I haven't heard the AD700...but I really liked the soundstage on the K240, although they also lack bass in my opinion.
Audio technica AD700 (open) or the sennheiser HD 449 (closed)( Yeh its closed but have amazing soundstage)
