But yeah, microphone itself uses a third prong, the E17 does not have that third prong, you can't just solder one on either..it needs to work with the device.
If you really need to make phone calls and all that then you are...kinda in luck

It will be a pain, considering you have the e17......and it's already guaranteed it won't be or sound as good asthe e17, but it's more for phone use than the e17 and out and about so it may be good.
MSRP is not yet determined....but considering it's their lower but functional ranges..probably not that expensive.and you have to admit, it looks very nice. The new black stealth and next gen style look FiiO is doing is looking VERY good to me....
