I just got this headphone back from service with a perfect bill of health. They replaced the faulty cable with a perfectly new one. I have the box, inserts and all original packaging. The phones themselves have a couple mm-long paint stratches (that is, so small that you have to peer up close to find them). I purchased them in December of 2011 and they've only been used lightly by me in my room. If you would like photos of anything including the packaging or repair receipt, please let me know. May I ask where the cable broke? I've never heard of many cable problems with AT headphones, but did it seem like it was with the upper connection, or where the headphone attaches to the source? (At the plug.)

I believe it was at the plug. The headphone cable has been replaced entirely, to the base of the phone. I was careful but must have inevitably rolled over them with my chair or something. I haven't used them since the repair though.
