The exchange rate for Yen is about 78 to the US$ so it's about $38 cheaper.

3,000 Yen is $38,20 USD
They are currently 39,800 Yen (until 18th August), down from 42,800 Yen. Here's the link: http://www.fujiya-avic.jp/products/detail13601.html
NOTE: In fact, they list the same item with both prices, but only one says offer valid until 18th August. Here's the link to the more expensive (42,800 Yen) one: http://www.fujiya-avic.jp/products/detail13281.html
Ah, Sorry I missed the `cheaper` word.

That's the price that Fujiya AVIC will pay for a used set of F111s if one wanted to get rid of them. Both Fujiya AVIC and e-earphone do a brisk business of used headphones.
I assume that the impedance for these is around 30 ohms but it could be much higher. I hope that we can find out.
Ah, I see, thanks for the help once again!
Would like to know about this as well! Hopefully someone manages to compare the F111 with the Heir 3.ai/4.ai as well...
Fujiya AVIC will not ship overseas, so if you want to buy from them and don't live in Japan, I imagine you'd need a deputy forwarding service.
The 111 is finally showing on the PriceJapan site. It now appears as "F111".
Very good news. If it's still listed by the time the weekend rolls around, I'll place an order. Otherwise I've got another avenue lined up, just less convenient...
The 3.ai/4.ai?
^ "Another avenue" to get the 111s not the Heirs.
Yeah, sorry for any confusion: I didn't mean the Heir 3.Ai and 4.Ai.
If PriceJapan sells out of the F111 by this weekend, then I'll likely go with another importer who can forward these on to me.
MuppetFace, I am looking forward to your impressions. music_4321 has me intrigued...
