I have no idea how the CK100 sounds (shigzeo would know), but I do know that CK100PRO's treble is too HOT for my ears. However, chances are CK100 has bigger-sized soundstage than F111. You should also consider about the F111's availability, brand new unit have been out of stock for a month-ish because FitEar can't keep up with the demands for it.

Mate, you should get a set of Ortofon tips. Amazing. I use them almost exclusively on all my earphones. They are comfortable, have a good internal structure that alleviates pinched sound, and they last well. An excellent amp is the T3 from iBasso and its follow up, the Vorzuge VorzAMPs, ALO Rx, Tralucent T1. Some of these I've reviewed if you want to wade through the too-long text at TouchMyApps. If you care to borrow any, PM me, we might be able to set things up since we live in the same country and クロネコヤマトは簡単.

These babies arrived last night! L3000.gif

Impressions so far is same as what I posted before, maybe gonna edit this post later as I find out more about it.

Oh, and dealings with e-earphone is smooth & satisfying, they are honest enough to tell me that this particular F111 has already been bought by someone else before, only to get it returned 2 days later. And because of that they cut 10% off the listed price, and even adding assurance that if something is wrong within the 90 days guarantee period, They'll cover the cost to get it checked/repaired at Mr. Suyama's office/workshop in Ginza.

What amazing customer service by e-earphone.

@shigzeo

Ortofon tips, gotcha. Gonna try and find me some.

I buy exclusively from e-earphone not so much because of CS, but because their staff know everything and mill around ready for anything. I love them.

shigzeo : Can you make a comparison between the CK100 and F111.

The genres of music I listen to are female vocals, rock/metal and pop.

Sound Preferences :

-clarity,

-articulate,

-airy/transparent,

-mid centric/forward,

-good treble- has good extension but must be smooth and not harsh,

-not too bassy,

-vocals a little more forward than insruments,

-good soundstage-feels engaging and lively as if in a concert,

-good imaging-never congested in busy passages and easy to pinpoint where things are.

Which one do you think is most suitable for my needs. Also are both of them a upgrade from the Ortofon eq-7's in your opinion in terms of sound quality?

Thanks.

Are these a silicone tip? Do you happen to have a link where they can be bought separately?

Yes it does, thank you. I usually have problems with a sensitivity to silicone tips but so many people have had positive things to say about these I might have to give them try.

Those really are a good looking IEM and even more so I think than the 334 which look huge imo.  I need to come up with $600 in a hurry because I need those IEM's.

Wow, thanks for the info. I was close to giving up on the tips since I can't seem to find a seller (in Japan at least).

Loving the F111 even more. 10+ hours of listening already since last night and I still can't put it down @_@

Reminds me of the first time I listened to my dad's old ER-4S, although I have to rest my ears every so often since the Ety's deep fit keeps hurting my ear canals. Not the case with F111.

You're right, ER-4S is not that far off. Yes, the F111 is easier to drive, less fatiguing in general, and IMO a bit more bass quality/quantity, but the difference is negligible especially considering the price difference. That being said, F111's comfort pretty much seals the deal for me.

Where they are sold abroad other than from vendors like Musica Acoustics, I have no idea. I got mine from e-earphone, but they only sell in Japan.

Totally forgot about e-earphone lawl. Why I forgot to check e-earphone for tips selection is beyond me -_-

I've compared the grado tips with the ortofon tips and they seem to be exactly the same. Just mentioning as an alternative, if one happens to be easier to get than the other.

Maybe because their website is a total mess. Tyring to find anything there is like finding a specific nun at a halloween party. Impossible. The store is great. The website is simply awful, but I suppose, par for the course. Japanese websites are simply decades behind where they should be, looking like yard sales instead of store fronts.

@SHOTGUN -> they are the same. I don't own a pair of ortofon earphones myself. I own the Grado GR8 which have the exact same tips as the eQ5. Both amazing earphones, but I prefer the GR8 because fit is much much better for my ears.
