I am listing one of my sets of Sony R10 headphones - No 808. Bought from an older gentleman close to hong kong earlier this year.
They are in the original unmarked box, with the manual, key, cleaning cloth etc. I used the spare pads in my other set of older, heavily used R10's and have decided to hold onto them as I had them recabled to balanced.
This set have hardly been used and I have only listened to them a couple of times since I got them. My plan was to keep them in storage however I have recently moved house and a recent death in the family has made me re-evaluate the purpose of collecting an array of headphones I will more than likely never use.
I tend to use STAX 009 and my other (more used and abused) Sony R10's exclusively and have recently moved some money into a speaker based setup. I have boxes of headphones that never get used and it seems such a waste.
This R10 is what I would class as NOS and they have never been taken apart. I haven't opened them either but they are immaculate as can be seen by the images attached to this auction.
I think it is better that they find a good home with someone who will treasure, appreciate them and most importantly use them.
Please be aware I have no need financially to sell these, so no stupid offers, or trades. I am not interested. If you do not have good feedback on Headfi, then I will need to do some background checks to confirm. If they don't sell ill just hold onto them.
I paid the price im asking so im not trying to make any money on this set, just 'pass' them onto a good home.
Buyer can pay by bank transfer or paypal. If paying by paypal then fees will need to be covered, which is why it might make more sense to use bank transfer. I will ship ONLY tracked via DHL or equivalent (at buyers expense), this will be insured also in case of loss during transit.
Dont ask me to value these at $50 when shipping its much too risky for everyone involved.
