Tesla T1 Vs. Lcd-2rev2

T1s are incredibly comfortable to me: light and gentle with great materials soothing your head.

They can be a little bright.

LCD2s are more refined, less direct than T1s, but with more palpable imaging and nice bass.

You really feel Audezes on your head, but the weight can actually be comforting. I got used to Audezes and actually like the way they hug my head.

These headphones are pretty different sounding. They might complement each other.

If you really want them... and you can afford them (no selling body parts/children) then go get them :).

I have the 990s also (sitting in a closet, little used).

I feel the T1s are a lot better, much more natural, not mechanical at all, nothing like the 990s actually.

Guys, there's got to be some kind of similarity between the T1's & the 990's....No?

I'm aware that T1's are highly regarded,thats why they are $900.00 more,with a whole new technology..supposedly??

Don't open the package, refuse the delivery! Buy T1's.

i have the 990 600 and 32 ohms and the T1, sold all of them and the T1 after  3 weeks. i really don't recommend the T1, they're just ... how can i say it ?!! DEAD Neutral headphones , yes ... my denon 5k was more fun and exciting when i first got them, don't get me wrong loved the T1 but there's nothing special about them and they sound very close to the 990 except for the weaker bass and the big sound stage and it's less bright. i don't want you to make the same mistake, they're very good but the LCD-2 is something else, i was determined to get it but there was a deal on the T1 for 700$ + LCD-2 wasn't available .. you know how it ends. one more thing, the T1 is very F***ing open, they leak so much sound unamped. with amping they're like speakers in the room and anyone within 10 foot will listen to your music very clear and loud ,, and i thought the 990s were open. Also the LCD-2 is considered to be the best sounding headphone with rock, metal, pop and modern music generally due to their non-fatigue sound signature, take your time to decide which one to get. You'd get more sounding similarities between the DT880 600ohm version and the T1 then any of the DT770/990.

Question:...why did you buy 3 different pairs??...and what exactly turned you off to all 3???

Where you lured in by good/low prices? {like Me?}.

My 2 most loved cans are the Lcd-2's & the Hd650's,if i never bought another headphone,these 2 would suffice,especially with my Lyr/bifrost combo & the few lorenz tubes I have.

Just thought ,I'd try to look for a headphone that was a little bright/comfortable,from a well respected manufacturer//.....other than going the Grado route.

 

Any further thoughts/comments will be appreciated.

oh, if that is the case then it's 990s, i think they're the brightest headphones out there. they'd be my first choice under 350$, until i came across the D5k, and hey ... i prefer it to the T1, i really enjoyed the music with them, as for the bass i can't tell specifically since i don't know how to describe it, but i can tell that the 990s has very clean bass with a nice quality but the denons is like subwoofers in your head and when amped right ( with desktop amp ) the bass becomes bigger than the 990 and tighter and hit very hard. i haven't touched my 990 since the denons burned in completely, they sound very musical compared to the cold 990.

it's true what they say about the beyerdynamic line, very bright with a small bass comparing it to the denons, ultrasones and LCDs except for the DT990 600, they can push great bass with an insane impact but they can be bassless against the boomy bass of the denons ( when i say denons i mean just the D5k which known to be the bassiest of the whole line )

True, i sold my DT880 250 after 2 weeks, they're just very neutral like the T1 but less refined version with small sound stage comparing to the 3D sound stage of the T1

The T1 is far from neutral. The T1 also doesn't leak nearly as much sound as any Audeze. Which leads me to ask

have you even heard them? They are speakers between your ears. haha

Furthermore, the T1 is a nice complimentary headphone to the darker more laid back sound of the LCD-2. It's also just a different house sound,

none the less it's a fun one. Lastly I've heard the DT880 is pretty similar to the T1, but not ever having heard it, I'll keep my mouth shut.
