So who all makes portable cd players still?

Hello, I would like to know all of the big companies (sony, coby etc.) that still sell portable cd players off of their websites.

Sony and Coby do still sell portable CD players. Avoid Coby. The Sony portable CD players available now seem to be lower end models. Why do you want a portable CD player? An mp3 player is much more compact, and you can easily carry much more music with an mp3 player. When flash memory was expensive, I used to carry an mp3 CD player and a bunch of discs. It was much too bulky. The only reasons I could see for wanting to use a portable CD player is to have a portable player that uses AA batteries or to have AM radio. One can buy a Tekkeon mp1580 for example which is a AA battery powered usb charger, and use that with an mp3 player. As for AM radio, the larger AM stations are simulcast on FM HD near larger cities, so I am now looking for a good inexpensive mp3 player that has HD radio.

That is simple, me for example have a 2000 cd collection and I don´t mind sitting on the train or wherever with my discman and a load of cd´s, wich can be put in a cd case, and don´t cause any problem.I wonder if it is possible to use a disc drive with my FiiO E7 ( on order) amp/DAC and get better sound?

You will need a portable CD player with digital out and an amp/DAC with digital-in. Top of the line PCDP have it, but no one is making top of the line stuff anymore. I paired my old Sony DEJ1000 with FiiO E17 and they sound great together.

I did find an old D-141 , but have no idea if they are compatible.Still haven´t got them, are on order and were cheap.Normally I expect my E7 today, but than I need to change to the E17 according to what you wrote? I have a Sony D-NE241, and they just have the earphone plug in and one for the adapter.

I don't think D-141 has an digital-out, so it doesn't matter whether you have E17 or not. Neither is D-NE241.
