MEElectronics M9 vs Dre Tours

Ok so I specifically made an account here to ask this question: Currently I own the Dr. Dre Tours and after about a year now I'm looking to buy new earphones. I did my research on this site and I came to  conclusion that the best earphones I can buy under $25 are the MEElectronics M9 earbuds.

I want someone who owns both or knows about both of these earphones to explain to me in which categories which earphone is better. Categories such as bass, durability, isolation, etc. I'm not a pro like most people on this site so I'm just pretty much looking for a good comparison between these two. Thanks :)

I don't have the Dre's but I'll say the M9s are very tricky to get a good seal. I have to use triple flanges to get them to sound right.

They do sound pretty good tho for $10 or so on sale. They are known as the budget kings for good reason. I'd say if you are planning on a MEE product in that price range go for the M6, they are better then the M9's but have just a tad less Bass, but it's still great, plus the treble isn't as harsh. I think you can find them for around $20 if you look around.  My pick for MEE is still the CW31, for $30 they sound dang good, and is my fave out of MEE's whole line up..

Thanks for the reply, I forgot to mention in my first post that I'm sort of a bass head lol. I love a high amount of bass similar to the skullcandy 50/50's if you've tried them. So I'm looking for the best <$25 earphones that have the best bass, and not total crap quality.

Oh the M9's will give ya some head thumping Bass for sure, as long as you get them to fit right.  They thump pretty hard.

Ok, but I heard some people say their bass is pretty bad, idk if that's true. Level of bass is subjective to everyone so I'm afraid those who are saying it has good bass have low bass standards lol. That's why I need a bass comparison to the Dre Tours because I currently have them.

Look into the JVC ha fx101, they are the newer JVC bassy IEM's they have a lot of bass. I just picked up a pair within the last week, it has too much bass for me in some of my more bass heavy songs. Do a quick search on them in the forums if you want a better idea of how they are.

Can't compare them to the Dre Tours as I am not into bass generally, but the bass is strong at least on par with the ibeats/beats audio combo on my friends rezound from what I remember hearing a few months ago.

I have the m6 and just switched between them and the ha fx101 and the fx101's have more bass side by side. And off memory I think the m6 are more bass heavy than the m9, though you should double check that.

In terms of will the fx101 be an upgrade, I don't know. I be honest I somewhat doubt it especially if the goal is bass, but I expect it to be on par or really close. Will make a good backup or cheap IEM's to abuse though since they are around $15 on amazon or $22 after tax at a local sears if you live in the US (just make sure it's the fx101 and not previous model).

I would probably buy those if it didn't have a straight jack. I've had bad experiences with straight jacks, they tend to shorten the life of the earphones, hence I only buy earphones with an angled jack.

I own both. The M9 has greater quantity of bass than the Tour and is a severely v-shaped sound signature. The bass on the M9 is kind of overpowering even compared to the Tour.

This is what I'm looking for, thanks for the reply man. Also, I'm new here so I don't understand what "v-shaped sound signature" is :P

Lots of bass and treble but very little mid-range. The term comes from a common equalizer setting I think.
