Do you know how to make the foobar stock EQ better?
So it is just a graphic EQ and looks the same as the default one but has more increments to adjust?

I'll give EQing a try. I use iTunes for the most part and their EQ seems to distort no matter what so I always leave it off. I have been using the EQ in conjunction with the loudness button on my Pioneer A/V receiver with great results. No distortion whatsoever at reasonable volumes. Can anyone explain to me exactly what the 'loudness' button on a receiver does?
Basically just do not use the loudness turn it off lol
I think it adds bass and treble to compensate for lower listening levels.
You want to install this for a graphic one:

Sadly fb2k default EQ is very poor and no one should really use it.
How do you use this there is no documentation....
What do you put for the following settings :
Volume : Auto? 0db?
Thanks
That EQ seems to do very little compared to the stock one.... Although the SQ seems better the actual effect of the EQ is very subtle compared to the stock one. For example raising the stock EQ by 6DB seems to have more effect than raising the custom one by 10db?!
Hi, i have both the LCD-2s and the D5000s with the Schiit Asgard
The bass on the LCD-2s is the winner at most of aspects: realistic, deep, fast compared to the D5000s bass.
But the impact and solid are the prerogatives of the D5000s bass characteristic in particular and Denon's in general. So the LCD-2s are the loser in this contest because i feel the bass of the LCD-2s is somewhat soft and lacks of weight and explosion.

Might not be the case with a more powerful amp, the Denons are easier to drive and will be well matched with the Asgard. But the 1watt it gives out into the LCD2's is borderline insufficient, and headphones when under-amped can lose authority and power in the lower frequencies.
I agree, The LCDs are different animals on the Lyr than on my old Asgard.
