Will internet via electrical outlet dirty up home audio?

Anybody know if using your electrical outlet for data transmission will increase noise floor of your audiophile equipment?

Nothing I've ever heard of, but powerline networking is slow and old (and super expensive), any reason you can't use Wi-Fi or run plenum? CAT6 is cheap.
