Noise cancelling headphones

Hello, I'm new here so I apologize if this is in the wrong section. I am looking for a pair of active noise cancelling headphones. I don't know much about headphones, but I'm not completely uneducated and I am willing to learn.

A couple of headphones that I have been looking at are the Bose QuietComfort 15's and the Audio Technica ATHANC7

Now I know a lot of people look down at Bose to be overpriced and low quality (at least I do), but on the flip-side I have seen a lot of good reviews on them and personally tried them at one of the displays at Best Buy and they worked pretty damn well.

The max I can spend is $300

I am open to any suggestions and I'm looking forward to your replies. Thanks in advance!

Bose has the best active noise canceling phone available. Buy them, you won't be sorry.

I'd agree on the QC15, they're good. Not just at ANC (which is great on them), but the SQ is fine too. I'd say stop listening to the "group think" hatred mentality, and let your ears be the judge. My only complaint with the QC15 is that they eat batteries.

Thanks for the input guys. Looks like I'll most likely be going with the QC15. Anybody else?
