I bought these this week from amazon.co.uk for £10 including delivery. That's US $15.
Packaging, appearance, warranty, euro-nanny knows best:
Mine arrived in the small European packaging box,...
Absolutely beautiful little player. It's just a gorgeous chunk of tech that feels good to hold. For me personally tech has to have form as well as function and the AK120 doesn't disappoint on...
I agree w most reviews that these does not warrant the $499 MSRP. (Then rather opt for D5k, D7k).
BUT - at the +-$230 range I got them at (Amazon warehouse) - these are VERY good value for...

Introduction
The easiest way to explain the Sennheiser CX-150's is that they do what you can reasonably expect. You can't really expect much from a pair of sub-50 dollar IEM's, and frankly, I...
I'm new here at Head-Fi and I was wondering if there were any stores in Singapore or Hong Kong that sold good Headphone amps for under $50. Also, what's the purpose of using a portable amplifier?
There's a parts vendor in Singapore called lendmeurears (http://lendmeurears.com/), not sure if he has what you need. In HK, I go to a place called mingo (two locations in MK), where you can test all sorts of amps/headphones.
Just to add to what Jason has posted: Stereo will have all the iBasso amps. You can even pick up a DX100 if you have that much cash. Jaben pretty much has most of the big name we discuss in HF (except iBasso), like HeadAmp, RSA, Go-Vibe, etc.
That assuming you actually need an amp, or just want to try one out. Well, you can try out on both places without buying, so bring your source and headphone there if you can and listen for yourself.
Coincidentally I've been looking for a budget amp to give some oomph to my RE-ZEROs. Based on ClieOS's (and many others') review, I'm proud to say that today, I'm the new owner of a Fiio E6! While it isn't nearly as sexy as the iBasso amps, it does the job and comes at just a fraction of the price. The neutral EQ setting is perfect. It increases bass quantity without sacrificing mids or highs, truly adding musicality. Good luck in your search!

I was wondering about the E6 but I didn't know if it just made my headphones louder or if it actually improved sound quality. What do you think?
So thanks to the recommendation, I spent some time at Jaben and had an amazing time trying out everything! I'm wondering if I should get a Bravo Audio Ocean amp. Any thoughts?
