Hi, not sure if there's a trick to this, but my FiiO E17 which I just received doesn't seem to be wanting to work with my HTC HD Desire phone. All settings to be correct. Any idea? Tks.

Plug the regular 3.5mm male to 3.5mm male that looks like this

Into your phone and E17. Doesn't matter which end. Plug the second plug into the bottom of the E17 where it says AUX. Then set your input to "AUX" on the E17 . Check your gain and make sure it isn't at 12 so it won't blow your ears out and make sure you didn't accidentatly raise the volume from 20 so you don't blow your ears or phones as well(unlikely but still) then start playing audio.
