Getting Shocked by headphones

Thread Starter

This is literally the third pair of headphones that are shocking my inner ear.

I had the Brainwav M2s, and now Soundmagic E10s.

I've never felt this and have no idea what is going on, but I obviously cannot really use the headphones after this starts. I do use these while running outside and such, and thought maybe that could be causing it?

Any ideas, and how can I get headphones that won't keep doing this?

I've read about this. Static electricity discharging through IEM's. Discharge it by touching metal with your finger before insertion and periodically during listening. I have never experienced it, but read that that has helped some who have.

Sounds like it's coming from your source, not your IEM's.
