I definatly agree... There is nothing to speak of when theyre underpowered.. It's like a flat plane of lifeless sound. No punch, no kick, no separation, no dynamics, no treble....

You're in pretty good company. Those are John Dunlavy's favourite headphones. (Dunlavy makes some of the world's best speakers, provided you mind coffin-sized boxes that provide you with a listening window of about 20" by 20".....)

Me? I prefer the Senn '580s place on the smoothness-detail continuum. But to each his/her own.
