Hiya

 

Im not sure if this is in the proper forum section (please move it if it isnt).

 

If I import gear from the US / Japan to Europe and I have to pay import rights to customs how does this work?

 

I think I read somewhere that someone got his stuff in but afterwards still received a letter from customs with an X amount of money he had to pay afterwards..

Now this is fine for me, As I prefer that over customs holding my stuff and expecting me to come pick it up or whatever...

 

So if I import stuff can I expect a smooth delivery or am I risking getting my stuff locked in somewhere at a foreign country ?

 

Please let me know how this works or if you had any bad experiences with importing gear please share your experience/solutions or ways to avoid it in the future..
