[Withdrawn from sale] Pro-ject RPM5.1 + Speedbox II + Graham Slee Gram Amp 2 SE = an intro to the world of vinyl

Will Ship To: UK

Way back in December 2008 I thought vinyl looked cool and bought myself a Pro-Ject RPM5 turntable with the default Ortofon 2M red cartridge along with a speed box II (a PSU upgrade that also lets you change speed at the touch of a button) and a Graham Slee Gram Amp 2 SE phono stage.  I barely used it before upgrading the cartridge and even after that it didn't get much use and has just sat gathering dust for at least a year two years.

I've just looked and today this would cost over £900 (plus postage), my price includes insured postage.

RPM5.1 (http://www.a1-sound.co.uk/product/pro-ject-rpm51-turntable-with-free-50-lid) £560

Speed box (http://www.a1-sound.co.uk/product/pro-ject-speedbox-2-turntable-speed-control) £105

Gram Amp (http://www.grahamslee.co.uk/gram_amp_2_special_edition.html) £234

I'll also throw in some spike protector pads, a cartridge alignment disc, the shell of a Goldring 2500MM cartridge (which I was using until it had a fatal accident - you can buy a stylus to put in it for £50 less than a new cartridge) and some Ex-Static record sleeves.

Unfortunately it is not in mint condition - I broke the cork mat while lifting off a record so it will only come with the felt one, there are a couple of chips on the edge of the platter and lots of scratching on the arm height adjuster where an amateur (me redface.gif) upgraded the cartridge and tried to align it, although these cannot be seen unless you pull it out.  There is also a small but deep cut/dent on the front of the Gram Amp which it got from being put face down on a carpet. This is only supposed to be looked at not touched it seems - you've been warned, I wasn't!

Another issue is postage - turntables are far heavier than I knew!  I paid over £30 years ago for just the turntable and this can only have gone up.  It's big, heavy and a high value to insure so I don't know the best way to send it, but I do have the original box and locking screws to ensure it arrives safely.  Local pickup would be great, but it's unlikely that you live near me (South West England)...

Any questions (except about international postage, which will be silently ignored) please get in touch happy_face1.gif
