RP-21 paint/mod

Hey guys! This is my first post here after lurking for a few years.

Anyways, I had a pair of RP-21's that I've been using for a couple years. The copper color was nice, but I started to get bored of it. I couldn't find any examples of other people repainting theirs so I chose to repaint mine red!  I also took out the foam and the headphone locking mechanism. I much prefer the sound with the foam out.

I sanded down the copper paint until the bare plastic showed. I then applied a few coats of dupli-color vinyl paint. The hardest part was doing all that damn sanding, and having to resolder the wires.

I'd probably put a clear coat on afterwards if I were to do it again.

Anyways, here's a picture! Let me know what you think, this is my first foray into serious modification

Oh, I also took the copper color off of the lettering on the cups. I ended up just lightly sanding the black part of the cuffs to a matte finish. I love how matte black looks.

I wonder if I should take the gloss off of the other black parts too... hm.
