Hello! I'd like to get a bit of feedback on two vintage speaker models, namely:
- JBL TLX 7GI, and
- Wharfedale CRS-7
Does anybody has had any experience with these? How do they sound? Are they any good?
Also, I have a(-n even more difficult) question regarding the Technics SB-7. I have a friend who has a pair of these, loves them very much and is desperate because one of the tweeters (a leaf ribbon, I think, but the guy says it's electrostatic) died. It's cute technical name is EAS-10 TH400B, and it appears that it's impossible to find a replacement one. Do any of you guys know, by chance, if it can be replaced with anything else without major modifications required to the crossover, etc. and without a very radical departure from the original sound?
