I found the FXT90 to be near garbage, especially for the price. The JVC FX40 is within 10-15% of the sound for a fifth of the price.

I haven't heard the B2. Sorry.

+1

The driver flex was annoying as hell.

Really? Those were number one in my wanted list, I was intrigued with the dual driver setup and the fact that they are easier to drive that the others, the gold special edition was really good looking, I would thought that the FXD 80 had the most driver flex being nozzle mounted.

What exactly is driver flex?  I've seen this term thrown around but have no idea... have had an FXD-80 for well over a month now and probably about 50 hours in-ear time.

It's that crinkly sound you get when you insert the iem into your ear. I didn't really notice any with the FXD80

I finally found the perfect tip for me. Got it in the mail today.

It's the MEElectronics Eartips. Triple Flange Large. This gave me the perfect seal. Man, the bass on the GR07 is pounding hard!!! woOot!!!

Thanks to the guys here at headfi for making my life easier... smily_headphones1.gif

Is that Bose in the background.  SACRILEGE, BURN HIM TO THE STAKE!

Those Bose speakers sound nice, the bass its overdone IMO and they are overpriced but well build.

Considering the increased price of GR 07 to 195$ , isnt it wise to get GR 01 for 10$ more?

Please don't!!! Lol.

My Wife gave it to me as a gift a few years back. :) I loved them back then and still do. Holds sentimental value more than SQ value though. :)

Yeha, the bass is overdone indeed. Luckily they have controls at the back. So, it's all good. It does its job as a desktop speakers. :)

Couldn't resist. I needed to find out if the GR07 would sound even better with an amp.

Just arrived earlier. Finally my perfect little set-up.

Have a listen with / without the amp when you get time. Keep testing both with, without, with without, Tell me if you think some of the treble, clarity and detail is lost using E11. Don't worry about which one goes louder, forget about all that, use an average volume, see if you can pick out how much E11 colours the signal with loss of clarity in the mids.

I find it's quite a lot and I'm willing to go without.
