I'm not sure if the OP is DIY savvy, but a simple crossover shouldn't be very difficult (or expensive): http://www.diyaudioandvideo.com/Tutorial/Crossover/

Mm, wouldn't work. That's for hi-level signals between speaker drivers. You'd need to build an active crossover designed for line level signals. Bit more complex. Millet had a DIY design on his site that was all tubed for example. I'd just go the lazy route and buy one:

If you want to get really technical about it, you can go REW and go with the DCX and have it correct response as well:

Ah, yes. Some op-amps to add gain.

But for the cost of the Behringer, I'd say its a good lazy option.
