half iem/half earbud recs? re: hippo 10eb upgrade

Thread Starter

Hi all,

I've been using a set of Hippo EB's lately that are starting to die on me. The sound is "pretty good" but the fit is great for me. For whatever reason, the half iem/half earbud design is much easier for me to use than a full-on IEM, which I have never been able to fit into my ear satisfactorily.

So, seeing as the Hippo EB's are our of production/hard to get, I thought I'd ask if anyone has any  other recs with that fit in the under $100 range. I wouldn't mind a better sounding headphone either! biggrin.gif

Here are some photos of the 10EB's to show you what I'm talking about:

That kinda reminds of the Brainwavz line of headphones.

Check em out, and keep us posted.

The brainwavz beta looks exactly like them. I would also love to hear of some alternatives.

The beta's are great but i accidentally pulled them apart earlier when changing tips. Went back together eventually at least.

try for Phonak PFE012, the price it believe will be slight higher, but it produce superb sounding and fitting, it is sort of angle fit, however it is top down and over the ear.

Radius is the only other company that makes such stuff and sounds good, Sadly the same can't be said about their build quality though.
