I am looking to upgrade from my AudioEngine D1 to use with my computer and Sennheiser HD650 and HiFiMan HE500 headphones.

 

I was thinking about a Schiit Bitfront/Asgard combo or a used Benchmarck DAC 1 USB which I know I can get for around $800.  

 

What do you think about those two choices and what other choices should I be considering?

 

Tonal neutrality and dynamic speed are what I prefer sonically.
