Heya all, up for trade today is my AKG K271's MKII's. These are the headphones I've kept longer than any other headphone, and for good reason. They really are a fantastic headphone, with superb isolation. I've taken them on car rides, and on plane rides, and they have performed admirably for blocking out noise. I find myself trading them today because they really aren't needed anymore. I don't need the isolation, and their sound signature is very similar to my CD900ST's, so I figured it might be a good idea to pass these on to someone who would get more use out of them.
The headphones were purchased 2010 from Adorama.com, so I am the first owner of these. They are in very good condition, considering how much they were used. There are no serious scratches or scuffs, though there are some small ones from basic use, hardly noticeable at all. The headband elastics are still as strong as ever, and the letters printed on the top show no signs of wear. The headband does have some weird lumps in it, but it's only at the very top of the headband, so it doesn't affect comfort at all. I just feel I should mention it for the sake of full disclosure.
The headphones come with the 1/4" adapter, velour pads, the vinyl pads, and the straight cable. I no longer have the coiled cable, as it was damaged and rendered useless. I won't be including the box, since it smells like an ash tray. Which leads to my next point:
At the moment they do smell pretty smokey. I don't smoke, but they have been around smoking. I'll do my best to get rid of the smell, but I can't guarantee they will be 100% smoke free. That nasty crap is pretty hard to get rid of, so if you're particularly sensitive to it, you might want to pass.
Oh, I guess I should mention what I want, huh? There's really nothing in particular I'm looking for. I just want a headphone that has a different sound signature. I might even be willing to trade down, if you give me the opportunity to audition the headphone in question.
Alternatively, I'd also be interested in desktop solid state amp or amp/DAC. I might even be willing to throw in my Little Dot I+ as added value, if I could get something like, say an Audio GD NFB-12.
The only thing I'm not interested in are IEMs. Other than that, anything's fair game.
CONUS only please.
