I'm selling my 3-channel active ground Beta 22 headphones amplifier. This is a high-end build with top-notch components. Also, it has the backplane board (Epsilon 22) which reduces wiring to a minimum and results in less noise. I believe this backplane isn't available anymore, so this has become a rare board.
This amp was built by Ying from YBM Audio who did a superb job with careful attention to every detail. The amp has a Goldpoint stereo stepped attenuator, and the power supply upgrade offered by Ying.
The amp uses a 3-pin female XLR for headphones output. This avoids the risk of shorting the amp that you get with TRS connectors. I will include two adapter cables. One for the TRS connector used by unbalanced headphones, and one for the 4-pin XLR connector used by balanced headphones.
The gain on this amp is set to 11x which is perfect for headphones such as the HE-6, but may be high for efficient headphones. The gain can be changed easily by the builder, and I'm located close to him, so I can most likely make that happen for the buyer.
The amp is in perfect shape both in terms of appearance and in terms of its operation. I ordered it from Ying a little over a year ago, and haven't been using it because I started listening pretty much only to speakers shortly after that.
